RUFC - Pabs 'better for being captain'
Rotherham United defender-cum-midfielder, Pablo Mills says that he is a better man and player after being captain of the side last season and admits that he was disappointed when the armband reverted back to Ian Sharps this year.
'It was a bit disappointing,' the twenty-five year old told The Advertiser, 'but it's the gaffers decision and I'm not going to dwell on it. Ian is a good player and more experienced that me and the manager thought he was the best to take us forward. Last season the gaffer told me he wanted me to take more responsibility and I thought I did quite well. I think it brought me on as a player and matured me a bit more. And, to be honest, being skipper didn't change me a lot as a player although it did bring more confidence out of me.'
I think Pablo had one of his best games in a long time on Wednesday night against West Brom - his tackling that night, to me, was superb.
