'If It's Football, It's Vital'

RUFC - Robins 'It was a great result'

Rotherham United Manager, Mark Robins told the Official Site that today's win at Macclesfield was a great result.

'We passed the ball well in spells but were a little bit tentative at times and were fortunate we didn't concede more before half-time. The ball was in the air for a fair bit and we were trying to win second balls.

'Ian Sharps found it difficult coming back today and the goal we gave away was poor but we produced some good attacking play and there were some good headed goals from our strikers and a good finish from Danny (Harrison) at the end.

'It's a tough place to come to and so it was great to get three points.'

Second goal scorer, Tom Pope, was helped off the pitch twenty minutes from time and Robins says, 'He was caught with a stud which has made a hole on one of his arteries and there was blood pouring out. We will look at him overnight.'
