RUFC - Robins happy with Rotherham

Rotherham United Manager, Mark Robins has told Ian Appleyard of The Star that he 'is in the middle of a job' at Rotherham putting paid to the speculation that he is moving to Barnsley.

'Everbody in the game worth their salt is ambitious,' Robins said, 'but I am loyal and I am in the middle of a job.'

Rotherham appointed Robins as manager just before the end of the 2006/7 season and since then the club has had points deducted, twice, gone into and out of administration, had a wage embargo enforced on them and moved grounds.

'We haven't achieved anything yet,' Robins carried on, 'at least not in the promotional sense, which I'm aiming for. I am building a side here that I am enjoying watching and I am very happy. This club is in the process of trying to progress. We have ground issues and training ground issues which need to be resolved quickly. But, I know the Chairman (Tony Stewart) has got people in place to make that happen quickly. And we are looking forward to an announcement as much as the supporters, then people can buy into it and start to believe.'
