RUFC - Stewart 'Robins will stay'

Rotherham United Chairman, Tony Stewart says that Manager, Mark Robins is part of what is happening at the club and is confident that he won't be moving to Barnsley.

Robins was in talks yesterday evening with Barnsley over the vacant post there, after the managerless club was given permission by Mr Stewart to speak to his manager.

Speaking to Les Payne of The Star, Mr Stewart says, 'I know Mark is enjoying it here and he's bought into what we are trying to achieve. He's excited about it and is a key part of it. He's a young manager and he's going through his apprenticeship. We have a good relationship and talk regularly. We had a good chat yesterday and I believe he wants to finish the job he's started here.

'We've had the speculation before with Leicester, Coventry and twice with Norwich and it's inevitable it's going to happen because he's done well here. I'll be amazed if he's not here this weekend or the one after that.'

The thing is, Mr Stewart, he hasn't actually been for an interview with the likes of Leicester, Coventry and Norwich has he?
