RUFC - ALF is here to score goals

Rotherham United striker, Adam Le Fondre has told The Advertiser that he wants to score twenty league goals this season and he has started well by scoring four in August.

Alf, as he is affectionately known to the fans because of his initials, said, 'All good scorers have confidence in their own ability and I have confidence in mine and if I am given chances, I will score. That's what I'm here to do. I want to get twenty and take it from there.

'One of the reasons I came to Rotherham was because of the ambition of the club and I know I'll get the chance to reach twenty goals plus - and I want to get promotion with it. I've settled well and I think it shows in my form on the pitch. And, there's a lot of competition for places here and you play better with competition.

'I think the team have dominated most games and really imposed ourselves on the opposition. And, I think Chesterfield, tomorrow, will be a good test for us, plus it's a local derby.'
