'If It's Football, It's Vital'

RUFC - Green 'Every year is a challenge'

Rotherham United left-back, Jamie Green says that every game in League Two is tough.

Speaking to The Advertiser, the twenty year old says, 'Every year is a challenge especially after last year which brings added pressure. But I like that. It's a matter of keeping your concentration and to knuckle down and do well. I take each match in my stride and my confidence has grown.'

Green, who was the winner of 'The Mitch Trophy' last year which is presented by both Vital Rotherham and Millers Mad for the 'best young player of the season' says that both Ian Sharps and Nick Fenton help him out. 'They are great,' Jamie says, 'and it's great to play alongside them. They are like father figures.' (oh, I'm sure they will like that, Jamie!)

When asked by David Beddows if there is any improvement he could make to his game, Jamie answered, 'I could maybe improve when I'm defending one on one and also my decison making on things. Just little things like that could make a huge difference to my game.'
