'If It's Football, It's Vital'

RUFC - Breckin 'I'm going to enjoy tonight'

Rotherham United's caretaker Manager, John Breckin was very non-committal about his future with Rotherham United after today's win and said that he just wanted to enjoy the weekend.

Speaking to Radio Sheffield, Breck said about todays game, 'I thought the first half was a typical derby with both teams giving each other too much respect. At half-time we told the lads to be positive and I thought the second half performance was magnificent and we put them on the back foot and finished strongly.

'I want to give the players credit for the second half and especially Andy Warrington who kept us in the game. We grew in confidence as the game went on and, as far as I am concerned, the goals were magnificent. The first one was from a set play - and it's actually a set play we've seen Chesterfield use! - and Danny (Harrison) stuck it in really well. The second goal was an unbelievable finish from Adam Le Fondre and the third was a great strike originally from Ryan Taylor that hit the post and then we had them on the back foot and got the ball in.

'It's not been an ideal week and we've tried to keep everything away from the players as much as we can while trying to keep them informed. I've got a lot of things to think about this weekend and I'm going to enjoy the weekend before I many any decisions. And, I'm going to enjoy tonight because everytime you win it's New Years Eve and we've had a magnificent win against a good side so let's enjoy it.'
