RUFC - What should we do with the compensation?

Rotherham United are due to get a fair bit of compensation I would think when Mark Robins finally joins Barnsley. Chairman, Tony Stewart signed Robins up for a four year deal of which around three years of it is still to run. It would appear that Barnsley are stalling on this compensation at the moment, but, if Tony Stewart is the businessman we have all been led to believe he is, I am sure it will all end in his favour.

So, looking into the future to when it's all done and dusted, how should we use this compensation? Use it to entice a 'big named' manager and backroom staff to take over where Robins has left off? Save it for a while until we need some new players?

In an article I read today by Clarkeonenil he suggests that the compensation should be used to fully re-lay a new pitch at Don Valley.

Now, I know, it's not our job to re-lay that pitch. It's the job of Don Valley Stadium who should probably ask U2 to pitch in as well (no pun intended). But the article, which you can read on clarkeonenil.co.uk, suggests that it doesn't matter who's responsibility it is to fully re-lay the pitch but, if Rotherham United actually do it then it could save our promotion push.

You know, I think he's got a point. What do you think?

No, we shouldn't have to fork out for a new pitch at DV. No, get a manager who know what he's doing, not a big name ex-player. Yes, spend the money on players. Have I missed owt?
