RUFC - Breck 'hopes Millers have success'

Rotherham United's ex-player, assistant manager and even manager at times, John Breckin, says he had to take his 'Millers' hat off and make a tough decision to quit the club he loves. Along with Mark Robins, Steve Taylor and Nick Daws, Breck has moved across South Yorkshire to Barnsley.

Speaking to Les Payne of The Star, Breck said, 'Mark brought me back to Rotherham when I was having a traumatic time in my personal life and we forged a bond and have an unbelievable working relationship. This was an opportunity to continue that relationship and work in the Championship again which I loved last time. If I'd stayed at Rotherham and they'd appointed someone who didn't want me or we didn't get on I don't know what would have happened.'

Asked about the possibility of working with his friend, Ronnie Moore again, John answered, 'It's different with me and Ronnie we are more like brothers.

'You know, Rotherham have a forward thinking Chairman and I really do hope they go on and have a lot of success.'

John Breckin came through the Youth setup at Rotherham and made more than four hundred and fifty appearances for his home town club who he joind from school.

I want to wish Breck all the best for the future.
