Rotherham United Chairman, Tony Stewart is looking forward to the future of the club.
Speaking to the Official Site today about what Rotherham United has to offer the new manager, whoever he may be, he said, 'The team currently sit at the top of league two. We have an excellent squad of talented and wholly committed players. We have a supportive Chairman and Board of Directors. We can offer our new manager the opportunity to get involved in the planning of both the training ground and the new stadium and they will have an opportunity to leave a lasting impression on the future of the football club. I think this is all quite unique and presents an unbelievable chance for a manager to join Rotherham United and join the positive, focused and driven environment we have created.
'We are looking for a manager to represent this fantastic football club in the right manner who will be supported every step of the way.
'I am very excited thinking about our prospects moving forward into a new era.'
I agree with Mr Stewart that whoever takes over will have a good squad of players to work with.
But, I am a bit worried when he says 'the new manager will have the opportunity to get involved in the planning of the new training ground and stadium. Surely, surely, those should have been planned by now? I really think, with the timespan we now find ourselves with to move back into Rotherham that, as soon as a site is earmarked by the club for the new stadium, we will have to get straight down to building it and therefore all the 'other' bits, such as planning, should be ready to go asap.
Or is it just me?
