'If It's Football, It's Vital'

RUFC - ALF 'everyone is focussed'

Rotherham United striker, Adam Le Fondre says that everyone is 'totally focussed' ahead of today's clash at Don Valley with Morecambe.

Speaking to Geoff Sweet of The Sun, the Millers striker, who will be looking for his sixth goal in six games this afternoon says that he thinks the top and bottom of why he's stuck in League Two is because he is only five feet nine inches tall. 'Rotherham were the only club to take an interest in me in the summer but I'm happy about that because we are going places. But, I was a little surprised a team from a higher division didn't come in for me but maybe my height is against me. Though, two of my five goals this season have been headers. I look around at taller players who can't match my goalscoring record but are getting highter moves and think why? I think I could operate in the Championship but I can see Rotherham getting promotion and I'll make my way up the leagues with them.'

Le Fondre has said that he originally joined the Millers because of Mark Robins, who has now departed to Barnsley leaving Steve Thornber, the Youth Coach in charge. 'We're in good shape and totally focussed,' Le Fondre insisted. 'You know, Notts County are attracting all the headlines and that's good for us because we're happy to go unnoticed.'
