RUFC - Thornber 'created more in second half'
Rotherham United's caretaker Manager, Steve Thornber thought his team were lucky not to have conceded a goal at half-time.
Speaking to the Official Site after his first time in charge of the first team he said, 'We didn't start very well and I think we were lucky to go in 0-0 after the first forty-five minutes.
'At half-time I told them that we needed to make things happen and I asked the full-backs to get forward more. Straight from the kick-off we saw Pablo (Mills) make a run forward straight away and then we started to make things happen.
'Morecambe defended well and got bodies in front of the ball and defended shots. But, we got a point and we kept a clean sheet, which is always a positive.
'After the game we touched on things that we could have done better and the lads told me they had played worse than that and won. I thought we could have passed the ball a little better from the back because when we did play from the back and switched play we created good chances.
'We've set targets for the next four games. We are four or five points better off than we were this time last season and come the end of September and the four games, we will have another look.'
