'If It's Football, It's Vital'

RUFC - Harrison 'Robins one of better managers'

Rotherham United midfielder, Danny Harrison says it's time to move on and forget Mark Robins.

Speaking to The Advertiser, Harrison said, 'I wasn't surprised that Robins moved on. Once Barnsley had lost Simon Davey you put two and two together and realised our manager would get a phone call - especially after the start we've had.

'I always knew he had ambition and I heard him say in an interview that it's not every day a Championship club comes knocking. He is one of the better Manager's I have worked with and he was unfortunate that he was hampered with points deductions for the two seasons before this. Players and managers move on, it's the nature of the game.'

Harrison has also worked under Ronnie Moore at Tranmere and said that people were going to link him to the vacant job because of the history between him and Rotherham United.

'I didn't play too much under him,' the twenty-seven year old said, 'but I worked with him.

'At the moment we are playing for our places and for any potential manager who might be watching in the stands. It's different not having a permanent boss around for guidance but there are enough senior-pro's in the dressing room who are wise in the game to see us through. The training Steve Thornber and Paul Warne have been putting us through has been class on. And, Andy Liddell has been around and played at a higher level and has had input as well.'

Speaking about last weeks stalemate with Morecambe at Don Valley, Harrison said, 'Other days a couple of the chances we had would have gone in and it would have topped the week off if we'd have won - but at least we didn't lose.'
