'If It's Football, It's Vital'

RUFC - Thornber 'we are all disappointed'

Rotherham United's caretaker Manager, Steve Thornber says the lads have given him everything he asked for today, at Cheltenham, and they are all disappointed not to come away with all three points.

'We created enough chances to win three games in the first half,' Thornber told Radio Sheffield. 'We totally dominated the game today and never looked like conceding and we defended for eighty-nine minutes and they scored with the only real threat they had. But, they've scored in every game they've played this season and if you don't get that second goal you know what's coming but the lads are absolutely gutted.

'Nicky Law was lively and bright and caused problems all afternoon, though he should have scored in the second half. Nick Fenton was a tower of strength at the back. Adam Le Fondre is so sharp and has got such a low centre of gravity and he's a really good player. Tom Pope worked his socks off today but he started to tire so I took him off.

'We've had some clear cut chances to score today but I'm not taking anything away from the lads because they've played really well. I think it's possibly the best away performance of the season and it's so disappointing that we've only come away with a point.'
