'If It's Football, It's Vital'

RUFC - The Chairman on the new training ground

Rotherham United Chairman, Tony Stewart says that steady progress is being made, behind the scenes, regarding the new training facilities.

The facilities, which are to be on Roughwood Road at Wingfield and Mr Stewart told the Official Site that they are to be of the highest quality.

'Our solicitors are working closely with the council solicitors to ensure everything is in place to provide us with a secure lease,' Mr Stewart said. 'The facilities will be fantastic and one's that Premiership teams would be proud to have.

'It is our intentions to have the Youth and First team under one roof. I am a firm believer in solidarity and unity and that we are all one team.

'It will be a similar template to the one at Derby County with the planner and the design engineer who worked on that one also involved in working on the academy for Rotherham United.'
