'If It's Football, It's Vital'

RUFC - Chairman praises fans

Rotherham United Chairman, Tony Stewart wants to praise the fans for the continued support during, what has been, difficult times.

Speaking to the Official Site, Mr Stewart said, 'I want to thank every one of you for the fabulous support since I took over the club.

'I thought for our recent game against Chesterfield our support was the most vociferous I have heard since we've been here and I was told our fans were brilliant again on Saturday.

'Rotherham United have been hit very hard over the last few years and if any supporters across the country deserve some success it's the fans of this club and we are working tirelessly to make that happen on and off the pitch. We are a good side and I think the fans believe that we are heading in the right direction.

'We have a bright new era on the horizon and all the work that's been happening in the background is now starting to come to frutition and during the coming months we all have the chance to be a part of something special.

'We are a good side and I think the fans believe that we are heading in the right direction.'

It's nice to be thanked isn't it! The fans were great at Cheltenham on Saturday and most of the time outsang the home fans.
