RUFC - ALF wants to finish top scorer

Rotherham United's leading goalscorer, Adam Le Fondre was disappointed after only getting one point on Saturday at Cheltenham

'We dominated the first half,' the striker told MillersWorld, 'and it actually looked like we were the home team.

'We made enough chances to put it to bed but we didn't take them. And, the only real effort they've had all day they scored from. It was really disappointing. We had enough chances to win the game comfortably.'

Talking about his goal, Le Fondre said, 'Tom (Pope) launched the ball from a throw in, the 'keeper dropped it at my feet and I reacted.

'I want to keep this form up and Steve Thornber told me to keep doing what I've been doing - staying sharp around the box and when I get half chances to turn them into goals. I'm ambitious and I want to be the best at what I do and hopefully I'll finish as leading scorer this year.'

Hopefully he will be our leading goalscorer and not someone elses.

Not saying it's impossible that someone will come in for him in January but the contract that I understand he's got wrapped round him would mean it would be someone with a lot of cash to spare
