RUFC - King Ronnie is Back

It is understood that Rotherham United will announce that Ronnie Moore is to be the new manager tomorrow.

Ronnie is no stranger to Rotherham fans having been at the club both as a player and manager. He joined the Millers in 1980, becoming an instant cult hero after scoring twenty-three goals in his first season, which helped guide the team to the League Three title. He left in 1984 but returned in May 1997 as Manager. In each of the six seasons he managed the Millers they bettered their position in the league which included two successive promotions.

In March 2005 he took over at Oldham Athletic leaving a year later. Ronnie was only out of work a few days when he was appointed manager of Tranmere where he got them to within spitting distance of the play-offs at the end of last season, only to be sacked due to 'falling attendances.`

It is also understood that ex-Miller Jimmy Mullen will be his number two.

Everyone at Vital Rotherham welcomes Ronnie back to the hot seat.

I'm a bit with Mex on this one - wait and see, but we have to give him time. And Jimmy Mullen I think will be good too - like his on the floor footy
