RUFC - Moore hails 'super' sub

RUFC - Moore hails 'super' sub

Rotherham United Manager, Ronnie Moore is pleased his gamble of putting striker, Drewe Broughton on the subs bench for Saturday's game and even more pleased that the thirty-year old came on in the final fifteen minutes and scored the winner.

Broughton hasn't started a game this season after first being sidelined with a toe injury then not being able to get his place back in the side.

'I thought if Drewe could get on he would cause Crewe some physical problems,' Moore told The Star about his decision to put the striker on the bench. 'Sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't. This time it worked in the best possible manner with him scoring the winner.'

Speaking to the Official Site after the win against Crewe on Saturday, Moore said, 'Drewe coming on and scoring means the competition for places, as well as the spirit, is there.'
