'If It's Football, It's Vital'

RUFC - Stewart Says Moore Can Add New Players

Rotherham United Chairman, Tony Stewart, has told Manager, Ronnie Moore that he can add to the playing staff or the coaching staff at the club.

Speaking to Les Payne of The Star, Mr Stewart said, 'Ronnie needs the right tools for the job. I've told him if he needs to add then I won't stand in his way.'

Moore will have to make one change next week for the trip to Bury with defender Nick Fenton suspended after his sending off against Notts County on Saturday.

Moore, who took over the Millers almost a month ago, told the Football League's Official Site, 'It's great to be back and I'm settling in at the club.

'The Chairman wants us in the Championship in three years. It's plausable but to do it we'll need good backing, good organisation and good luck. But if we're at it for ninety minutes, I'd back us against anyone in League Two and, if we can build on the start we've made to the season then I can't see why we shouldn't end up with promotion'

Speaking about the club, Moore carried on, 'It's strange training at the Keepmoat and playing at Don Valley. Millmoor was such a tight little stadium where the fans were on top of you which, as the home side, gave you an advantage. But, at Don Valley it's as though we are the away team, as well as our opponents, which could be a disadvantage. But we are hoping to have a new stadium in a couple of years.'

he needs to get a couple of players in quick sharpish or our good start may be in vain

But there was nothing wrong with the side a few weeks ago. They were playing as a team - the last couple of games they seem to be trying to play as individuals
