'If It's Football, It's Vital'

RUFC - Harrison 'we weren't at the races'

Rotherham United Midfielder, Danny Harrison thought it was a well earned point on Saturday at Don Valley against Notts County.

Speaking to Gerry Somerton of RotherFM, the twenty-six year old said, 'The first half we felt we were awful - we just weren't at the races and we knew we had to give a better account of ourselves in the second half. I think we put in a shift and kept a clean sheet which we haven't done for a while

'I thought Nick Fenton's second booking was harsh, you could see he was always going to go down but when Nick was sent off in the second half we dug in and created some half chances.

'The crowd got behind us terrificly, especially in the second half. You could understand them not being happy the way we played in the first half.

'It's disappointing that we've only picked up two points out of six at home but the Notts County game was always going to be difficult. We will look back at the Hereford game and be more upset we didn't take three points from that.'

Although, actually, for the first half we did look like we might have been at the races and not on a football field
