RUFC - Harrison is out to keep his place

Rotherham United midfielder Danny Harrison has told Dom Howe of The Star that he is out to keep his place in the team.

'I am happy with the way I'm performing,' the twenty-six year old said. 'But, just because I'm pleased with my form, it doesn't mean to say I can sit back and take things for granted. We have a fantastic squad here and I know Micky (Cummins) and Jason (Taylor) are waiting in the wings. I know I need to keep working well and performing well on the pitch to stay in the side.'

This is Harrison's second spell under Ronnie Moore, his first being at Tranmere and he says, 'Things have changed since Mark Robins left. Ronnie and Jimmy Mullen have brought in their own ideas and the training has been different and everyone is getting used to each other.'

Moore has been told that there is money available if he wants to dabble in the transfer market and he, himself, said that he might bring in some new faces.

'That can only be a good thing,' Harrison said. 'There is always room for improvement and I'm sure whoever the manager brings in will be quality.'
