RUFC - Ronnie before the Port Vale clash

Rotherham United Manager, Ronnie Moore has today told MillersWorld that he expects the game against Port Vale at Vale Park tomorrow will be tough.

'They are attacking minded and often play 3-4-3 or sometimes 3-5-2,' Moore said. 'They haven't looked back since they got battered and their Manager put them all on the transfer list! I don't think they've been defeated since then.

'But I want to concentrate on what we can do. We have to pass the ball and retain the ball better than we've been doing. We've let ourselves down in that department. You should see the players in training the way they pass it and zip it and do all the right things. But they need to carry that through to Saturday. Hopefully we'll get seventy minutes out of them this time because we've not even had that!

'I think it will be a tough game but I think we can win. Our lads know what we're looking for - we need a bit of spark and a bit of pace. Vale Park's been a good ground for me and let's hope it will continue.

'We were hoping to bring a couple of players in and maybe a couple of them will leave the club. We've all been out looking at players, myself, Jimmy Mullen, Andy Dibble and Alan Crawford and I've made umpteen phone calls this week. We thought we had two in but at the last minute that hasn't happened but I am hoping that we have someone in for the Torquay game.'
