RUFC - Moore 'win was totally deserved'

Rotherham United Manager, Ronnie Moore told Radio Sheffield that he thought the Millers deserved the win today against Port Vale.

'I thought we totally deserved the win,' Moore said. 'There goal came against the run of play although it was sloppy defending from us, but it was really the only chance they had in the game.

'We've been patient and done the right things. We've probed and we passed and we moved it. I thought we were on top most of the game.

'I don't know what the lad got sent off for to be honest. We told our lads not to do anything stupid and I thought we did really well in the second half. We didn't go into stupid tackles. But I think the officials missed a lot today. At the end there were three of our lads on the floor and I think there number ten just lost it. He's crackers! He wants to fight Warney and told him he'd see him inside. These are professional players and that's just stupid and we can do without things like that.

'I don't think the referee had a particularly good game today but it happens. When we counter-attacked and were ready to have a shot on goal he blows up for the lad that's on the floor and he doesn't even get a physio on to have a look at him. Then he wants us to give the ball back to them - I mean, how stupid is that? There were a lot of daft decisions today.

'Overall it's pleasing that we got the win.'
