'If It's Football, It's Vital'

RUFC - Nicholas 'we deserved win'

Rotherham United defender, Andy Nicholas says Nicky Law can petrify defenders with his speed.

Speaking to Dom Howson of The Star after the two-one win at Port Vale at the weekend, Nicholas said, 'Nicky deserved his goal and it was a fantastic finish. When we have Pablo (Mills) sitting there in front of the back four, it allows players like Nicky to do what he does best which is running at defenders and petrifying them with his pace.'

After not having the best of results recently it has been good that the Millers have won their last two games - albeit maybe a little lucky at non-league Wealdstone in the FA Cup. And Nicholas is hoping they can keep the winning run up when they travel to Torquay next Saturday.

'We talked about these three away games and said that they are winnable and after producing a really professional performance at Port Vale we are in good spirits for the trip to Torquay.

'We talked about staying patient and keeping the ball on the deck and, although at times it wasn't easy, we didn't panic and I think we deserved the win.'
