RUFC - Drewe 'good to get back to winning ways'
Rotherham United striker, Drewe Broughton thinks last Saturday at Port Vale was the best football the team had played all season.
Speaking to MillersWorld, the thirty-one year old said, 'I thought the game on Saturday was our best performance so far this season and it was good to get back to winning ways. It was tough conditions and being away from home and it was good how we got the ball down and passed it. I think we were back to the form that we were in at the start of the season.'
With the former Norwich City player not having had chance to feature much this season for the first team he said it felt good to be back in the starting eleven. 'I've had two or three games now but I still feel like there's some rust in there but once I get a few more starts in then I should be back to firing on all cylinders.
'Playing under Ronnie Moore is a bit different to playing under Mark Robins but there's a good spirit around and I'm enjoying it.'
Asked about his playing alongside Adam Le Fondre, he said, 'Alf is an intelligent player and I think I am too. I think there was some encouraging things in the second half at Wealdstone.'
Moving on to next weekend and the long trek to Torquay, Broughton said, 'I've scored a few against Torquay over the years but it will be a tough game. If the winds blowing it will be a real game of two halves and a tough ninety minutes.'
