RUFC - Pope isn't going anywhere

Rotherham United Manager, Ronnie Moore has told The Star that he wants to keep striker, Tom Pope even though the twenty-four year old has been demoted to the subs bench of late.

'Popey is a baby with his knowledge,' Moore told Dom Howson, 'and we are teaching him but it won't happen overnight. There's no doubt about it, he can play and I don't want to get rid of him.

'He's come through non-league football, then had a year at Crewe where everything went for him.

'We need to teach him to play properly and in a couple of weeks, I think, we will see a marked improvement.'

Mark Robins brought Pope to Rotherham this summer, after a recommendation by Ronnie Moore, and he's scored six goals so far for the Millers.
