'If It's Football, It's Vital'

RUFC - Moore 'Torquay will compete'

Rotherham United Manager, Ronnie Moore says the game against Torquay is going to be a tough one.

'Torquay are on a decent run,' he told MillersWorld. 'They were playing 3-5-2 but have changed it back to 4-4-2 and they were unlucky at Shrewsbury and they've already drawn at Notts County so we know Torquay will compete.

'The lad Thompson they've got on loan from Southampton is a danger and a threat. But we've got players who can get goals and we'll be a danger from set-pieces. We have to show them some respect but we have got to go and play. We're trying to get them to pass the ball and it was half there at Port Vale but it wasn't quick enough.'

Speaking about the weather, Moore continued, 'If it's windy I think it will take away the home advantage because it's the same for both teams when it's swirling around all over the place.'

The team travelled down at lunch time yesterday after first having a training session and Moore said, 'We tried to get Bristol City's training ground but because of the weather we couldn't use it. So we trained at home and then travelled the five hours to Torquay.'

It's certainly a long trek for the Millers so let's hope we don't come back empty handed.
