RUFC - Alf on Saturday's game

Rotherham United's top scorer, Adam Le Fondre says that the difference between Rotherham and Torquay was that the Millers took their chances at a blustery Plainmoor on Saturday.

Speaking to Gerry Somerton of RotherFM Alf said, 'The conditions didn't help but we battled hard, defended well and in the end took our chances. We never stopped trying to score which is what the gaffer wants. And we all want to win games.

'The wind was swirling everywhere and you couldn't judge what the ball would do - you took a touch, it bounced and went the other way.'

Speaking about the goals, he carried on, 'For the first I tried directing the ball between the 'keepers legs as he was coming across but he made a good save and Kev's (Ellison) put the re-bound in.

'My goal was a great through ball by Popey and I managed to slide and chip the 'keeper.'
