RUFC - Hands Off Alfie!

RUFC - Hands Off Alfie!

Rotherham United Manager, Ronnie Moore has warned any teams coming in for top scorer Adam Le Fondre that they haven`t a prayer!

Speaking to The Star, Moore said, 'I`ve spoken to the Chairman and he said it would take a ridiculous offer before we sold Alfie.`

After the likes of John Breckin and Nigel Clough were seen at Tuesday`s game against Lincoln, and saw Le Fondre`s two brilliantly taken goals, rumours were rife about who they were watching and there was only one players name on everyone`s lips.

'We aren`t a selling club,` Moore carried on. 'And, the Chairman says we don`t have to sell unless someone comes in with a stupid offer in the region of two or three million.

'His goals-to-game ratio is incredible and there is more to come. I just wish someone else would start scoring too because if Alfie gets injured you wonder where the goals are going to come from. He is a natural goals corer and teams are crying out for them but I am sure his turn will come but, at the moment, this is not the right time to sell him.`
