'If It's Football, It's Vital'

RUFC - Paddy hoping to keep his place

Rotherham United's Stephen Brogan was disappointed with Saturday's result despite getting a goal in the game with his head.

Speaking to MillersPlayer, the twenty-one year old said, 'Not being the tallest I'm not known for my headers! It was a good cross, I connected with it well and it went in and that's a good feeling. But we should have won the game. But I suppose we are still in the cup and we've got a chance to get to the third round.

'I thought we did alright and was the much better team. Just a couple of silly mistakes and they scored two goals. A rash tackle from Nicho (Andy Nicholas) but it's just one of those things that happens then Gaz (Gary Roberts) slipping in central midfield and they broke straight through. Apart from that I don't think they created much. But, we didn't lose, which is the main thing.

'I was in today because Kev (Kevin Ellison) hurt his foot and the gaffer put me in for my first start of the season. And, I'll be working to keep my place against Shrewsbury but it depends how Kev is and what the gaffer is thinking.

'Shrewsbury are a good team, especially at home, but I fancy us in any game this season.'
