'If It's Football, It's Vital'

RUFC - Moore pre Burton Albion

Rotherham United Manager, Ronnie Moore says that Burton Albion Manager, Paul Peschisolido is bound to get a reaction from his team after publicly saying they were 'a shambles' in their two-nil home defeat to Accrington Stanley recently.

'That's why he said it,' Moore told MillersPlayer. 'Paul has done a good job there and although they've lost their last three games, they are a difficult side to beat. But that's what this league is like - anyone can beat anyone.

'I think we are a better team but we've got to be mentally right and tuned in.

'They have Guy Branston suspended which will be a big loss to them. He's captain and he'd have loved to come back here. We've had some wonderful times here with Guy, he's a loveable rogue.'

Speaking about the pitch at Don Valley, which Moore has criticised in the past, he said, 'If it continues to rain the way it has been then there is going to be doubts about the pitch because it can't cope. But, we'd like to think we can get through the Christmas period and get the games on.

'There are a lot of games coming up and I like to try and keep a steady eleven and the only reason you change the team is when things go wrong. The problem at the moment is the full-back positions. It's very difficult to know who should play there. To be honest, the quality between, if you like the four full-backs, at the moment is minimal. Maybe there may be a little change there that needs to be done.

'Although I know a lot of people will disagree I think we've had a tremendous month but, I don't think we were that bad before.

'We have to realise that we aren't going to win just because we are Rotherham United.'
