'If It's Football, It's Vital'

RUFC - Ellison 'winning brings confidence'

Rotherham United's Kevin Ellison is hoping to get back to winning ways tonight in the FA Cup replay at Luton.

Speaking to MillersPlayer, the ex Tranmere player said, 'It's a big game against Luton and we hope we can get into the next round.

'It's going to be a tough test. Luton played Chester on Saturday and I was talking to some of my mates at Chester and they said Luton rested some of their players with the game against us in mind. I think it will be a good cup tie and Southampton away in the next round is a big game for both clubs and one I think is winnable.

'We've got to get back to winning ways and if we win this game we will go into the league game on Saturday full of confidence.'

Speaking about his partnership on the pitch with Stephen Brogan, Kevin said, 'Paddy is always up to getting forward. He's one of those defenders who wants to play more up field which could benefit the team. I'm more worried about what I can bring to the team.

'I'm not bothered about scoring goals it's results we need. Alfie (Adam Le Fondre) gets paid for scoring goals and it's up to him to score them. Maybe we need to chip in and score some more and take a bit of pressure off him but as a striker if he gets a chance he's going to put it away. He's got around sixteen goals and he gives me a bit of stick about my seven goals but I think I'm double the lad behind me! We have a bit of banter about it but it's more about the team getting wins and promotion.

'We lost last Tuesday and drew on Saturday after being two up which was very disappointing. But we are still third so it's not too bad.'
