'If It's Football, It's Vital'

RUFC - Moore 'we huffed and puffed' . . .

Rotherham United Manager, Ronnie Moore seemed bemused as well as angry after his teams defeat to non-league Luton Town in the FA Cup replay last night.

Speaking to MillersPlayer after the game he said, 'We didn't need this game and we didn't need to be in in the morning, but we are.

'We can't push this under the carpet. We'll work on the back four tomorrow (now today) and work on them to make them better. Football should be enjoyed and not played with fear. We're third in the league so why the hell should they be playing with fear? We're playing Luton not Man United. Though, it doesn't matter who we were playing today you can not defend like that, straight away you give youself an uphill battle.

'Both full backs had a torrid time. We couldn't cope with their two wide men and they were the difference today. We're not happy with the way the full-backs have performed they just weren't at the game. I mean, we spoke about Newton having a right foot after the last game. But they still let him come inside and score with his right foot. That's basic defending.

'We've had opportunities ourselves but we've huffed and puffed. Sharps could have had a hat-trick with the opportunities he's had.

'Anybody can get defeated. It's the way you get defeated that's the disappointing thing for me.'
