'If It's Football, It's Vital'

RUFC - Moore thinks Boxing Day game is doubtful

Rotherham United Manager, Ronnie Moore, has told David Beddows of The Advertiser that he has major doubts about the Boxing Day game against Darlington will go ahead.

'The pitch is still rock hard and I think we'll be lucky if we can get it on.

'We've had the covers off during the day but the sun hasn't been getting high enough to take the temperature up and there's a real chill factor around. It's been absolutely bitter at the training ground this week.

'I know warmer weather is forecast for Christmas Day but will that be enough? Jim Davison, our groundsman, is doing his best but it's unfortunate that the frost might beat us.

'It's typical really that we get some good form and want the games to come thick and fast and this happens.'
