RUFC - Postponements might be a blessing
Rotherham United Manager, Ronnie Moore says that the recent postponements might be a blessing in disguise.
The Millers haven't had a competative game since they beat Bradford on 12th December, although they had a practice match at Mansfield on Tuesday, which they won five-nil.
Speaking to David Beddows of The Advertiser, Moore said, 'The next two games against Rochdale and Bournemouth are vital and I want a minimum of four points out of them although if we get maximum points that would put us in a brilliant position with games in hand on both those teams.'
With the transfer market about to open again, Moore said, 'I'm trying to get people in on loan and by the time we play the re-arranged games we might have a better team to send out, so this rest might be the best thing that has happened.
'Playing Saturday-Tuesday, Saturday-Tuesday, can be a good thing and it's not as though we only have sixteen players. We've a big enough squad to cover all positions.'
