'If It's Football, It's Vital'

RUFC - Millers defender 'paying the price'

Rotherham United defender, Nick Fenton says he is 'paying the price' for a 'stupid challenge' after yet another Millers game has fallen foul of the weather this weekend.

The former Manchester City player was red carded for, what can only be described as, a lunge at Aaron Webster in the Millers' two-all draw against Burton Albion at Don Valley at the beginning of December. Because it was his second red of the season, he was given a four match ban which should have seen him back for the game against Chesterfield on 28th December. But the arctic conditions of late has put paid to that and he still has two games to sit out.

Speaking to Dom Howson of The Star, the thirty year old said, 'It's my own fault but it does feel as if my ban is going on forever.'

The team have not played for four weeks, which is five games, and Fenton says, 'It is frustrating but the break has had its benefits. I've been working hard on my fitness to make sure I'm up to speed when I come back. Everyone is desperate to get back playing, and there isn't a lot of difference between when I played and when the boys played.

'I'm just keeping positive and hopefully I will get back in the side after my ban.'
