'If It's Football, It's Vital'

RUFC - Annerson on training

Rotherham United's number two 'keeper, Jamie Annerson says training has been tough while the snow has been on the ground.

Speaking to the Official Site, the former Blade says, 'We've had to make the most of what we've got and train on the astroturf. This means there is a bigger risk of injury and some of the lads have problems turning but we just have to be sensible.

'It's not been too bad for me, though being a goalkeeper it's not ideal to dive because your body is pounding against it all the time.

'We have got some good facilities and we just have to keep working hard and do what we can.'

Twenty-one year old Jamie was on loan to the Millers from Sheffield United twice before he was signed up, on a free, at the end of the 2008/9 season. Although he has yet to make a first team appearance for Rotherham he has got four England Under-19 caps.
