RUFC - Fenton on automatic promotion

RUFC - Fenton on automatic promotion

Rotherham United defender, Nick Fenton thinks that, if we double the points we have now, which is thirty-nine, we will get automatic promotion at the end of the season.

Speaking to Dom Howson of The Star, the thirty-year old said, 'I think eighty points tends to get you promotion and that has got to be our goal this year.

'I think, if we double the points we have now that should be enough. We need to get as many wins as possible.'

Fenton is still serving a four match ban for getting a second red card of the season. The Millers have had all their games postponed since they beat Bradford City but Fenton thinks the break might not have been such a bad thing. But, it could be that the Millers might end up playing three games a week to catch-up.

'With the break the lads are going to be fresh,' Fenton said, 'so I can't see it being a problem playing three games a week.'

The players, and the fans, are hoping to travel to Accrington on Saturday to play/see their first game since 12th December.
