RUFC - Moore on Pope

RUFC - Moore on Pope

Rotherham United's Manager, Ronnie Moore says, more than anything, striker, Tom Pope needs a goal.

Speaking to The Advertiser about the former Crewe player, Moore said, 'Popey knows where he needs to improve. He seems happy to create but if you are a striker you need to score. He's got muscle strength and he needs to use it outside the box and hold balls up for us.'

The twenty-four year old joined the Millers in June 2009 for what it was reported was a record fee of £150,000.

After not playing as well as Moore thought he could, the manager dropped Pope for the Millers' last game against Bradford.

'Pope has to fight to get back in the side,' Moore said.
