RUFC - Why is Ronnie feeling 90?!

Rotherham United Manager, Ronnie Moore says, that after clearing about two yards of snow, he is feeling like he is ninety years old!

Speaking to MillersPlayer the ninety - sorry, the nearly fifty-seven year old, said, 'I've just spent time out there shifting snow with the kids to try and get some grass. It was bloomin' hard work and I feel about ninety!

'Its the first time we've been on grass for three weeks but once the snow is off it's fine underneath and soft enough to take a stud, no problem.

'Our biggest problem has been where to train. We've been on astroturf, in the gym, on treadmills, on bikes, on cross trainers. We've really had to do pre-season without the ball.

'We had a game on the astro two days ago and they looked nice and bright, which surprised me. I actually wish it had been Saturday because of the movement and the passing play was terrific! Hopefully we can take that into the game on Saturday.

'We've got a lot of catching up to do and we're going to be playing Saturday, Tuesday through 'til March and it will be a telling time for us. But, we're still in third place which will be a great incentive to the lads and we aren't playing catch-up. What we have to do now is make sure we win the games that are coming up.'

Asked if the game on Saturday, at Accrington, would go ahead, Moore said, 'Accrington are doing all they can to get the game on.'
