'If It's Football, It's Vital'

RUFC - Moore 'Brilliant performance'

Rotherham United Manager, Ronnie Moore was full of praise for his team this afternoon, as they beat next to bottom of the league Grimsby Town at Don Valley.

'It was a brilliant performance and a great comeback after Tuesday,' Moore told the Official Site.

'We played some brilliant football at times and when Popey had that chance I was praying along with everyone else. He's run his socks off today.

'I'm disappointed with their goal and we should have been out of sight. But, I think we won at a canter today.

'I am happy we came back from that dismal performance on Tuesday and if we carry on and try to play and pass and get balls into the box then I will be happy.

'We got the goals, got the points and now we are looking forward to playing Chesterfield on Tuesday.'

It was a better performance than Tuesday, but it couldn't have been any worse could it. We played better football and the players looked lively. But, hand on heart, it was not brilliant
