RUFC - Moore 'Alf has the X-Factor'

Rotherham United Manager, Ronnie Moore knew his young striker, Adam Le Fondre wouldn't be fazed after not playing for over five weeks.

After the 'goal machine' scored twice on Saturday against Grimsby, Moore told The Star, 'When you are off for several weeks like we were it can have an effect. And you want your strikers to be back among the goals quickly.

'But, I never thought Alf would have a problem because he's got the X-Factor.'

The Millers top goal scorer has scored sixteen goals in the league, just one behind top scorer, Lee Hughes of Notts County. In all competitions this season the former Stockport and Rochdale striker has scored nineteen.

But, Moore had a warning to his other players and said, 'It's important that we don't only rely on Alf, the rest need to get among the goals as well.'

He also said, yesterday, that no-one is an automatic for a place against Chesterfield - except, perharps, Alf!
