Rotherham United Manager, Ronnie Moore spoke about the game against Macclesfield, who are in seventeenth place in League Two, tomorrow afternoon at Don Valley.
'Everyone will expect us to win because they are down there,` Moore told MillersPlayer, 'but they`ve had a couple of decent results and they are a very solid side. Keith (Alexander) has them organised and they are going to be hard to break down.
'They`ll play 5-4-1 and it will be a matter of us being patient. Really, we need to get the first goal because once we do that they are going to have to come out. And it means everyone being patient including the fans. I can understand sometimes, with the performances, why the fans have booed us off at half-time but there are times that we need their help. We looked like we`ve got a settled team at the moment and we hope they will get behind us because we need it. When the fans aren`t behind you, especially at home, and are shouting at the players, when there`s only around three thousand there you can hear them. And, yes, the players do have to be thick skinned and get on with it and I`ve told them if they get out there and get a sweat on then the fans will forgive. But against Darlington I didn`t think there was one player who reached the standard that was acceptable.
'The game on Tuesday is massive but if we can beat Macclesfield tomorrow we could be in second place when Bournemouth come on Tuesday. It`s a massive week for us - Macclesfield, Bournemouth, Darlington. And if our lads go to Darlington and don`t get a result after what happened here then they want locking up to be fair because even I want to play in that.`
