RUFC - Moore 'totally unacceptable'

Rotherham United Manager, Ronnie Moore says the performance against Bournemouth tonight was unnacceptable.

Speaking to MillersPlayer after a long session with the players in the dressing room after the defeat, Moore said, ''For what was at stake, the performance was totally unacceptable.

'We had a chance to get back in the top three and go a point behind Bournemouth and then they turn in a performance like that which, at times I thought was spineless.

'I thought we were very lucky to come in at half-time one up and I didn`t think we had a leader out there tonight. The only decent bit of football we played we scored from.

'After the Chesterfield game I thought we looked like a really good side and tonight it was the same team and they come out and perform like that. And, I`m not blaming the pitch. I`m fed up with people using the pitch as an excuse - you didn`t see their back four struggle too much on it. I`m fed up with the tempo of the game here because we just don`t have one. What`s disappointing for me is when you`ve got something at stake like this and then you turn in a performance like that then there`s a problem.

'With performances like that, if we`re not careful, we won`t be in the top seven never mind the top three.

'We`ve all sat down in the dressing room and there`s been some constructive criticism about what`s going on and not just by me, it`s no good me going in there ranting and raving. Hopefully we`ve all now learned from that.

'We haven`t got an outstanding eleven which is why we aren`t as solid and compact as we should be. We looked solid and strong and created chances at Chesterfield last week.

'And how many times have we said, first minute, second half and all the talking in the dressing room about what we`re going to do and it`s unbelievable. We haven`t dealt with Fletcher`s height and his presence. And you`ll probably never see a worse three goals that we conceded.

'At one-one we were like a pack of cards and we haven`t got someone who can pick up the baton and get us going. The full backs have never given the wingers a ball all night and I think both full backs have struggled today and it was obvious where we were weak today.

'It was a dire performance and I`ve said to them that there`s one thing about Rotherham fans they want to see someone put a shift in and we never put a shift in there today. But, they will certainly put one in tomorrow.`
