RUFC - No move back to Millmoor

RUFC - No move back to Millmoor

Rotherham United Chairman, Tony Stewart has said there will be NO return to Millmoor.

Speaking to David Beddows of The Advertiser after rumours fuelled by building work going on at Millmoor, Mr Stewart said, 'It's eighteen months to two years since we left Millmoor and there are Health and Safety issues there.

'There are too many obstacles in the way and my energies are focussed on building a fantastic new stadium that we can move into in 2012.'

As well as the fans not being happy with the current home Don Valley, Ronnie Moore has made various comments in the media about the place not being a football stadium and being soulless.

But Mr Stewart said, 'We have signed a lease at Don Valley and we would have to break a lease to make a new lease.'
