'If It's Football, It's Vital'

RUFC - Sharps 'it was poor from start to finish'

Rotherham United skipper, Ian Sharps says that after the show down in the dressing room after the game on Tuesday night, there is only one place to put it all right and that's on the football field on Saturday.

Speaking to The Advertiser, twenty-nine year old Sharps said, 'We were in the dressing room a long time but there is only so much talking you can do. The place to put it right is at Darlington at the weekend.

'The lads have had their say, the gaffer has told us what he wants and what he doesn't want. Whether we take it on board or not is up to us.

'It might have come across that Bournemouth wanted it more on Tuesday but I can assure you our lads were up for it. It was poor from start to finish the other night and we were lucky to go in one-nil at half-time. No one can take any credit from the game.

'We've been a bit Jeckyll and Hyde recently. We were solid at Chesterfield but not on Tuesday. It you could put your finger on why then you'd be a very clever man.

'We need to go back to the drawing board and start again because good teams don't lose two on the trot. We need to bounce back and bounce back well.

'We're as frustrated as the supporters and it doesn't help when they're frustrated at us but they pay their money and can say what they want.'
