'If It's Football, It's Vital'

RUFC - Moore 'It's schoolboy stuff'

Rotherham United Manager, Ronnie Moore bemoaned the fact that there are no real captains in the game today.

Speaking to David Beddows of The Advertiser the Millers Manager said, 'I don't know what it is with the modern generation, but there's no real captains or leaders anymore.

'In my day you pointed the finger at each other and then go and have a drink after. Now, when someone points the finger at somebody, the other can't wait for the accuser to do something wrong so they can have a pop back. It's schoolboy stuff.'

Speaking about the Bournemouth game, Moore said, 'The players were talking about the pitch at half-time but I'm not having that. The pitch didn't affect them one iota.'

After winning just two games at Don Valley since Moore returned, he said, 'It worries me that we can't seem to play at Don Valley and, if you're not careful, it becomes an excuse.'
