'If It's Football, It's Vital'

RUFC - Moore 'Season starts tonight'

Rotherham United Manager, Ronnie Moore says he is glad that the Dagenham and Redbridge game has come so quickly after the loss to Darlington at the weekend.

'At least we haven`t got a week where it`s all doom and gloom and we are feeling sorry for ourselves,` he told MillersPlayer. 'What happened on Saturday has gone. We had a chat and it`s finished. The season really starts for us tonight.

'Dagenham are a big side and it`s going to be tough. They are a strong side and everything`s knocked long and so, defensively, we need to be at our best and if we are then it`s a game we can win.

'It will just be nice to get the win and I don`t care how we get it. I think it`s going to be a scrap because they play the long ball and they`ve got long throws and they`ve got some decent players in the side.

'We need to get back to winning ways and whether it`s a one-nil or whether it`s a four-nil, however it comes we just need those three points.

'We`re six points of the automatic places with two games in hand and that is what we are aiming for. We know what we`ve got to do and it`s down to the lads to get it done.`
