'If It's Football, It's Vital'

RUFC - Moore Pre-Lincoln

Rotherham United Manager, Ronnie Moore says that the game against Lincoln City tomorrow is going to be tough.

'But,` Moore told MillersPlayer, 'all the games are tough if you`re not mentally right, and we`ve proved that. If you go into a game thinking this is easy and you`ve only got to turn up then that`s when the shocks arrive.

'We`ve got to go and play like we played for the vast majority of that game last Tuesday. And, no disrespect, but we`ve got better players than Lincoln. They are fighting for their lives, but, you know, so are we but we`re fighting for a different reason. We want to be in that top three and be automatically promoted at the end of the season. And, the only way we can do that is to perform at a high tempo like we did the other day, roll your sleeves up and go to Lincoln and try to win.

'I`ve got a lot of respect for Chris Sutton who was a fantastic footballer. A lot of the so called 'big boys` want to start in the Premiership or the Championship but I think Chris has done it the right way and he`ll be a better manager because he`ll know what it`s like to work down at this level. He does put a shift in and he`s not one of them who`s a manager by name. I`ve seen him at reserve games all over so he doesn`t sit on his backside. He wants to learn the game and is looking to improve them all the time and I think he`ll have a big future in the game.`
